Tips to feel your best and live a more balanced life!

As a working mom of two, finding the balance between work and living a healthy lifestyle can be challenging. My goal is to always focus on progress over perfection, I spent years trying to be perfect and it caused way too much stress and as we know, stress can cause serious health issues over time. Here are some tips that have helped me over the years!

  1. Prioritize self-care- It’s easy to put everyone else’s needs before your own or see self-care as being selfish, let me tell you….IT IS NOT! For you to be the best for those kiddos YOU must feel your best <3 Self care can look different for everyone so what I do might look different than what you do, and that is ok! I like to enjoy a cup of coffee in peace, sauna, get facials and sometimes self-care for the day is just taking a shower!

  2. Plan ahead- If you just go through the motions and don’t have certain meals or workouts scheduled they simply will not happen, that time will magically find a way to be filled with something not as productive.

  3. Find a workout routine- If you’re new to having a routine your goal might to just have movement for 30 min each day. Also, find a workout you truly enjoy, the chances of you being motivated to do the workout is much greater if you actually like it….even if it’s just a little to start, I promise the more you get in the habit the more you will look forward to it!

  4. Making heathier choices- I know as well as the best of them, having kids can make it very hard to eat healthy all the time. Follow the 80/20 rule, 80% whole food nutrition  and 20% maybe not the healthiest option. It might not be the quickest way to results but it’s sustainable over time and time will always work with you or against you!
