Ingredients

Scale

4 ripe tomatoes

1 jalapeño (or 2 serrano peppers), finely chopped (remove seeds for less heat)

1 red onion, finely chopped

1 tbsp olive oil

Juice of 1 lime (or 1 oz Santa Cruz Organic Lime Juice)

½ tsp sea salt

Fresh cilantro, chopped (as much as you like!)

Instructions

  1. Add diced tomatoes, chopped peppers, and red onion to a medium bowl.

  2. Drizzle with olive oil and squeeze in fresh lime juice

  3. Sprinkle with sea salt and add chopped cilantro to taste.

  4. Stir gently to combine. Let sit for 5–10 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.

  5. Serve fresh with chips, on tacos, or as a bright side to your favorite dish!

Notes

🍅 Roma or vine-ripened tomatoes work best.

🧅 Prefer milder onion flavor? Soak diced onion in cold water for 5 minutes before adding.

🛠 I love using this chopper to speed up prep time!

✂️ For perfectly chopped cilantro, I use these herb scissors – total game changer.

🍋 I always keep Santa Cruz Lime Juice on hand for a quick citrus boost.
