This restaurant style ranch is light, pourable, and packed with classic ranch flavor, just like the kind you get at your favorite restaurant. Made with buttermilk, mayo, and simple dried herbs, it comes together in 5 minutes and tastes so much better than bottled. Drizzle it on salads, dunk your veggies, or serve it with wings and pizza.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup mayo
  • 1 tbsp dried parsley
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp dried dill
  • Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Whisk/Blend. In a medium bowl, whisk together all ingredients until smooth.
  2. Chill. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes to let the flavors meld. Optional, but worth it!
  3. Store. Transfer to an airtight jar or container and keep in the fridge for up to 1 week. Shake or stir before serving.

Notes

  • Thicker ranch: This version is light and pourable like restaurant ranch. For a thicker, dip-style ranch, use more mayo and less buttermilk.
  • Lighter swap: Replace some of the mayo with plain Greek yogurt for extra protein.
  • Spicy twist: Add a pinch of cayenne or a splash of hot sauce.
  • Fresh herbs: Swap the dried herbs for fresh, using about 3 times the amount.
